I haven't pushed my luck lately, but I think Daisy is relaxing a bit ... I have tried to keep the routine simple and non-threatening. She gets excited about her food, and then seems to enjoy rambling around her pen for the veg treats I have scattered about. I have started putting about 12 food pellets inside her rooting ball, too, to encourage her to burn calories. She seems to like that!
I hand-fed her a piece of cucumber the other day, and she took it gently and politely.
Of course, once I get the Hammock Adventure done, she may revert to paranoia! Didn't have acces sto enough strong people this past w/e to do it - hopefully in the next day or two, once my husband is done baling first-cut hay!
I *think* I have rid the barn courtyard area of the dreaded Poison Parsnip ("Better living through chemicals," as my friend Louise always says!) - once I am sure they are dead, Iw ill dig up the corpses and finally Daisy can come out her big door to amble about outside!

My other pig, Pinky, has been enjoying her outside yard this past week - I snuck up on her to find her fast asleep, flat out on her side in a patch of sun .. so cute! Of course, as soon as she heard me, she leapt to her feet and demanded to be fed (which she wasn't!).
