Pinky

Poor Pinky! Daisy gets all the attention and even her own BLOG! But Pinky was our first pig, and is lucky enough to be healthy, happy, and joy to have around! So, no news is good news! However, I thought I'd post some pics of her to make her feel a little less left out!

Pinky came from our local SPCA, having been removed from a home where she was living in a closet with a litter of kittens (!). She had come from a sale several weeks previously, and was about 8-10 mo when we got her. Thankfully, she was in good health, sociable, and has been a wonderful addition to our livestock family! She was spayed in May of 2007, and lives in one of our outbuildings (insulated) with a pop-hole into a nice big yard under a forest of evergreens.

This is Pinky when we first got her; around Sept 2006.

Here is Pinky last week. She has a lot of discharge from her eyes, which we clean off daily. Of course, I took the pic BEFORE wiping her eyes. She is a pretty girl, and so sweet with my daughter!
