Upper Canada Village Piglets

On Father's Day, we took a trip to Upper Canada Village in Morrisburg ON (about 45 min from home). It's a living history museum, set in around 1867; nice period houses, livestock, etc. We try to go several times/season and always enjoy it. One of the highlights is always the piglets. They farrow a litter in early summer, and as the piglets grow, they get increasing freedom to roam the village ... Here's a pic from summer 2005 of my daughter, Mei Le, hanging out with some of them.

This year's litter was still shut in with Mom - they looked a week or so old. Pretty cute, tho!
