Ok - she's still FAT. And her feet still need work. But I was looking at her the other day, and she has a bit of a glow about her! Her bristles are shiny, her skin is less flakey ... and she seems to have a genuine interest in her surroundings.
In fact, a couple of nights ago, she shoved open the gate of her pen and wandered into the barn alley, up a few small steps and was snuffling around ... first time into the barn, and off she went! I think she is seeing better.
I have started feeding her pellets in about 4 c of water ... started this with Willie-Pig, as he didn't seem to want to dring our water. I put a glug of apple juice and all their pills, plus veggie scraps ... they both seem to enjoy their soup. Daisy has actually become excited about feeding time, frothing at the gate and lifting up with her snout in anticipation! I think they like the feeling of fullness all that water gives them.. Will buy an electric kettle for the winter, so they can have warm soup when it's colder!
