- Fibrin strands between the loops of the small intestine, adhered to the lateral lobe of the liver. Suggest peritonitis.
- Stomach was distended with ingesta (normal given she had eaten a day or so before euth)
- Patchy congestion of the gastric mucosa
- Mesenteric lymph nodes were congested (but not enlarged)
- Petechial (sp?) hemorrhage of the mucosa of the distal small intestine and the spiral colon
- Diffusely enlarged spleen (may be due to euth with barbiturates)
- Lungs were congested and rubbery
- Left ventricle of the heart was mildly dilated
- Adrenal cortex congested
- Rabies test negative
Nutshell (to this point): Some systemic infection going on. No clear indication of cause of neurological symptoms.
Hopefully more will be revealed from the the tests that are currently in progress.
