Mirabelle the missing pot-bellied pig has more incentive to get back to her Warwick Township home safely: VIP treatment at a Lehigh Valley IronPigs game.
The baseball team hopes to host Mirabelle and her owner, Susan Magidson, at a game if the 11-month-old, 26-pound black-and-white pig eventually returns to Ross Mill Farm in the Rushland Village section of the township. The IronPigs also are offering four tickets and an all-you-can-eat meal to anyone who provides information leading to Mirabelle's return.
"I'm not into baseball, but I certainly appreciate everyone's efforts," Magidson said. "That one person who is more interested in baseball just might read (about the IronPigs offer) and might be the person who sees that little piggy in somebody's back yard."
Magidson already has offered a $500 reward for the safe return of her pet, which she believes was stolen. Mirabelle went out for a morning stroll Friday and never returned.
Ross Mill Farm serves as a temporary home for pot-bellied pigs while Magidson helps find them homes through the Pig Placement Network. It also offers boarding and other services.Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Mirabelle can call Magidson at 215-322-1539.
