Quit Stalling Campaign

This campaign was launched at the Winnipeg Humane Society. The goal of the campaign is to see sow stalls banned in Manitoba, and throughout Canada.

WHS believes that animals raised for food deserve a voice too. They want to encourage the humane treatment of all animals. Says Vicki Burns, Executive Director, "Cruelty to animals is wrong whether it happens at home or on a farm. The housing of pigs, in groups on straw, not only improves the quality of life for the animal but also greatly diminishes the environmental concerns that accompany intensive confinement systems."
