Anticlimax!

Finally finished the yard for Daisy - complete with wading pool, umbrella, shady trees, etc. Opened her gate with anticipation, looking forward to watching her snuffle about, eat grass & bugs, root in the dirt, try the wading pool (and clean off her face in the process), and just enjoy being a pig!

That was Thursday. Today is Wednesday, and she has NOT stepped out of her pen. Yesterday I couldn't stand it, and steered her out with the sorting board. She ventured about 5-6 feet, then ambled back into the shady barn. Sigh.

I suspect she is a little wary of the slight slope out of the barn, and of the fact that she still doesn't see super-well. And maybe she's just neophobic.

Her previous owner said she used to enjoy wading and dunking for raisins .... Maybe some day!
