Our visit to the Tusk & Bristle

Last Friday, 3 piggy friends (Kim, Susan, & Sherry) and I eagerly ventured into New York State to visit an internet friend, Carol, at her pig sanctuary, the Tusk & Bristle. Even the hour-long delay at the toll bridge at the border could not deter our enthusiasm!

We spent an amazing day and a half at the T&B, enjoying the warm hospitality of Carol, her husband Jim, and their over 100 pigs of all shapes and sizes. We made new friends in Mary, Ruthie, and Colleen, and had a very pig-intensive couple of days. It was great!

I will post a wide range of pics - grouped mostly by topic ... The first bunch, below, is of Carol's amazing warthog, Thor. He is a wary fellow, but did really well with the group of us traipsing around - he seemed genuinely curious about us, even following at a distance at one point. Such an interesting creature!
